Mavis Tech is Clayton — an Angola technician with over 20 years of hands-on experience building, repairing, and TINKERING. What started as a lifelong obsession with understanding how technology works has grown into a full-service tech operation built on one principle: people deserve better than chain-store service at chain-store prices.
There's no corporate playbook here. No tier-one support reading from a script. When you contact Mavis Tech, you work directly with the same person who will actually touch your hardware, FIX, REPAIR or build your machine, from first conversation to finished product. That kind of direct accountability is rare in tech services, and it's exactly what this business was built on.
From custom gaming rigs and professional workstations to virus removal and complete data recovery. From a 5-minute speed fix to a full data recovery, from a budget laptop tune-up to a server rebuild. If it plugs in, runs code, or needs a display — Mavis Tech handles it, and handles it right.
Most common repairs — virus removal, OS reinstall, RAM/SSD upgrades, screen replacements — are done the same day you drop off, usually within 2–4 hours. Complex issues like data recovery or liquid damage can take 24–72 hours. You'll always get an honest time estimate before work starts.
You pay nothing for labor. If we diagnose it and can't repair it, or if the repair cost isn't worth it for you, there's no charge for our time. If we ordered parts with your approval, those costs are discussed honestly before we proceed — no surprises.
Yes. We handle MacBook screen replacements, battery swaps, RAM and SSD upgrades on older models, keyboard replacements, thermal service, data recovery, and liquid damage assessment. Software issues, slow performance, and startup problems — all of it.
Yes — 30 days on all labor. If the same issue comes back within 30 days of the repair, we'll look at it again at no charge. Parts carry the manufacturer's warranty on top of that. We stand behind every job that leaves this shop.
Yes — on-site service is available for an additional travel fee depending on your location. This works great for network issues, new PC setup, printer problems, and situations where you simply can't bring the machine in. File a ticket and mention on-site service in the notes.
Power it off immediately — don't try to turn it on, charge it, or test it. Flip it upside down to let liquid drain out. Don't use a hair dryer. Bring it in as soon as possible. The faster we get to it, the better the chances of full recovery. Time is everything with liquid damage.
The tiers are budget guides, not rigid packages. A $400–700 budget gets you a capable machine for everyday use and 1080p gaming. $700–1,200 hits the sweet spot — handles everything comfortably including 1440p gaming and content creation. $1,200+ is for 4K gaming, heavy workloads, and no-compromise builds. Every build is specced specifically for what you actually do — not a generic parts list.
